Overseas Guiding

I have been fortunate enough to have guided on four continents and to have traveled to some of the most spectacular places for birding on the globe. These have included everything from guiding in the tundra of Nome, Alaska to co-leading the first commercial tour to the forests of Nagaland, India to witness one of the most incredible spectacles on earth: the migration of the Amur Falcon.

Where possible I like my tours to capture the magic of birding: incredible flora and fauna, breathtaking scenery, adventure and a taste of the local culture. As a hawkwatcher I love the spectacle of migration, whether that be watching a million raptors migrate past us on a single day in Panama City or watching a fallout of warblers along the upper Texas Coast.

I love planning tours including everything from where and when to bird and what to sample in terms of local food, drink and culture. I was instrumental in relaunching the Hawk Migration of North America’s touring program and still lead trips for them. I have been employed as a guide with a number of premier tour companies across the globe and like to organize the occasional tours for select friends too.

Please check out the individual tour pages for information on forthcoming trips via the home page.
